Description
Ashbury Precision Ordnance Electro-Optical Rail Grabber Mount w/Azimuth and Elevation Adjustment
What else do you need as a spotter? The Electro-Optic Rail Mount w/Azimuth and Elevation Adjustments is used to co-align a laser range finder with a spotting scope for long distance target observation and measurement. The Electro-Optic Rail Mount w/Azimuth and Elevation Adjustments was developed for the United States Marine Corps to cost effectively integrate two observation sensors; the VECTOR 21 CLRF and the Kollsman Long Range Thermal Imager.
Known in the Corps the ‘CLRF/LRTI mount’ it enabled users to combine and align the reticles of two sensors so that either sensor could be used independently or in cooperation out to approximately 4km at night and during adverse weather conditions. Knick named ‘mechanical duct tape’ the Electro-Optic Rail Mount w/Azimuth and Elevation Adjustments features a quick hand tightened self-torquing thumbscrew that provides consistent and secure mounting of laser range finders and other devices to a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny Rail.
Unique to this Electro-Optic Rail Mount are adjustments for windage and elevation. The top of the mount is designed for the VECTOR BLRF and will fit other LRFs equipment with a 0.25-20 TPI mount. Electro-optic devices are attached using a large thumb wheel with a 1/4 -20 TPI screw. The Electro-Optic Rail Mount w/Azimuth and Elevation Adjustments mount is constructed from aerospace grade aluminum alloy with a black hard coat anodized coating.
